Jan's first solo flight

As we mentioned in the previous story, on Saturday 21 June one of Manel’s students, Gino, made his first solo flight. Well, the club’s other instructor, Ignasi Jové, didn’t want to be outdone or to “lose momentum”, and he too decided that on Sunday the 22nd one of his students was ready to fly solo: Jan Schatteman.

Joking aside, Jan’s eagerly awaited first solo was obviously not a matter of rivalry between instructors; he was simply well prepared enough to fly solo in complete safety.

So we take this opportunity to congratulate both instructor and student on this first milestone, happily reached in what we hope will be a long aviation career…
